As we’re fully bootstrapped (meaning we take no investments), meaning we can’t compete with the comp packages that big tech companies can provide.
But we can compete–and win–on flexibility.
We work 100% remotely, full async. This means we don’t do frequent, unnecessary meetings. Not only because we believe it’s a massive waste of time but because we would rather be working on what we like than have meetings about it all day.
Working like this comes with a few basic mindsets.
- No hand-holding: We’re a very small team without managers. This means we do not have the time to help out on smaller levels, as our days are filled with our own work. Everyone on our team is expected to be capable of managing themselves and getting their part of the job done.
- Full autonomy: We don’t track hours. Everyone has their own tasks and we solely base success on how these tasks are implemented. Want to take the day off to go to the beach? Completely fine. As long as in the end, you get your work done.
- No work families: We know you have a life and so do we. We love doing our work because it’s interesting and challenging. We don’t want to gaslight you into working harder for us.
